Zachary is the Deputy Commissioner for Strategic Initiatives at the New York Police Department and a member of the faculty (adjunct) at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He is former Special Project Assistant to the Director of the Science, Technology and Public Policy program at Harvard School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Tumin has written extensively about the strategic management of collaboration.
