Overview

As a Hootsuite Solutions Consultant on our Strategic Accounts team, you will work with regional Account Executives to provide technical and subject matter expertise to some of the world’s largest organizations, focusing on the Hootsuite platform, Social Media Management and Online Marketing Communications.

 

You are a master of online communications and understand their business applications for large organizations. Fast-paced, evolving environments are your comfort zone and you have a drive to overdeliver. You understand the needs of businesses to turn data and interaction into actionable insights to drive key performance indicators. As a Solutions Consultant you will have the opportunity to educate clients on the benefits of the Hootsuite platform, helping to define and drive our technical and business vision in a rapidly growing marketplace. Responsibilities
  • Understand customer goals and challenges and establish Hootsuite’s product as the best solution available

  • Participate in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions and presentations to key business decision makers that show an understanding of the prospects core social media challenges/vision and articulate how Hootsuite best addresses them

  • Based on the prospect’s business issues, help guide them on an effective social media strategy, and align core Hootsuite capabilities to that strategy

  • Articulate advanced technical concepts as needed to business and technical audiences

  • Build and present customized demonstrations tied to the prospects social media requirements and vision

  • Present Hootsuite technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security

  • Participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective

  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management

  • Respond effectively to RFPs

  • Work as part of an extended team on larger sales opportunities with multiple resources

Required Skills & Experience

 

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems in varied political environments

  • Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology

  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies

  • Professional experience with social media

  • BA/BS degree with a strong academic record or strong relevant experience

  • Technical competence & enthusiasm (understand software, hardware, networks, etc)

  • Excellent written, communication, presentation skills

  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment


Bonus Assets
  • Familiarity with Hootsuite web and mobile dashboard

  • Working knowledge of APIs and SaaS applications

  • IT Security knowledge

  • Experience working with large organizations

  • An inclination to all things online and social media related

  • An additional European language is an advantage
