About the HootBar
We're happy to announce that HootBar(formerly Twitterbar) is now part of the suite of browser apps available from HootSuite.
The Hootbar offers all the great functionality and benefits you've always enjoyed from HootSuite's developments and innovation.
What's New?
HootBar will work the same way you're used to, simply type your message into the Firefox address bar and add --post to the end of your message to send it to Twitter.
Plus - when you download the free upgrade, you'll also get the Hootlet, so you can send your message to any of your chosen social networks from your address bar, simply by typing --hoot.
And Hootlet lets you schedule your messages for later -- so if you're an early riser, but your audience is more of the night-owl variety, you can ensure your messages won't get missed.
HootSuite Hootlet Button
Send your messages to multiple social networks including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and more. Plus, schedule messages and track stats for link-clicks too.
New Hootlet Command
With HootBar you can type the command --hoot following your message to send it to the Hootlet, which allows for further customization and network options.
HootBar Options
Change the HootBar options by typing --options in the address bar. A window will pop up with posting options, URL shortening preferences and more.
